During the 25th session of the National Assembly, which comprised seven sittings held between March 3 and March 12, 2026, 60 members out of 333 (18 percent) attended all sittings, while 42 members (13 percent) did not attend any sitting.
Below are key highlights of the attendance during the session.
- The first sitting recorded the highest attendance, with 239 MNAs present (72 percent of the current membership).
- The fourth sitting recorded the lowest attendance, with 120 MNAs present (36 percent).
- As many as 273 MNAs (82 percent) missed at least one sitting during the session.
- Among cabinet members from the National Assembly, one federal minister attended all sittings, while six ministers — five federal ministers and one minister of state — did not attend any sitting.
- The Prime Minister did not attend any sitting.
- The Leader of the Opposition attended six sittings.
- Of the 22 federal ministers scheduled to respond during Question Hour, only six were present on the day they were required to answer questions.
- Of the four ministers required to respond to Calling Attention Notices, only one attended two of the three sittings in which he was required, while the remaining three ministers were absent from all their scheduled sittings.
